They also pointed to a more globally diverse procurement workforce, leading to more diverse buying strategies.
Thirdly, with the ‘under-20s’ arriving in their first wave of business and consumer power in 2025-203, they projected the arrival of a more transparent society and circular economy, requiring total re-evaluation of the corporate/social relationship.
And, finally, they foresaw the departure of the procurement professional focused solely on price, with a redefinition of ‘cost’ to becoming multi-dimensional.
